Hi Mary

Yes its most frustrating. The last night were I was forced to get out of bed and was like a walking zombie was when I was anxious about my pending hospital visit the next day. Though now it seems that I dont sleep straight through anymore as I wake up a number of times if I am hot or my hands are achy. I get quite frustrated about sleep often I fall asleep when I dont want to usually on the sofa when I am watching something I am actually interested in and then I wake up at the credits Blink So hopefully your plan works and you get some shut eye.

Hello Mary

Poor you. Hope you managed to sleep in this morning. I suffer from dreadul hot flushes and
this always wakes me up at leash 3 / 4 times a night. Also if I am worried about something
the same thing. I come down and have cup of tea and dunk a biscuit (naughty)

Mary i have hardley had a hot flush and don,t know what side of menopause i am in or at .

but Steve has a milk intolance so we always have soya milk .And i have just got used to it and don,t bother with milk in the house .As will drink herb tea or a packet coffee moca or something .
We have milk if Jamie is around but other wise no .

Well i would had thought i needed more soya but its meant to halt the hot flushes and the other stuff

i have sailed though so weather its the bit of soya i have i don,t know .But used soya milk for a long time now .

I don,t know if this might help you .But don,t put soya in tea or coffee .
I started the M at 53 .

love christine

Mary, sorry you are having such bad nights. My personal experience was that i had HRT for 18 months, when you come off it you still get some symptoms for a few weeks, but wasnt too bad. Now I wake due to dry mouth due to Sjogren's and having to get up to wee at least twice every night, drives me crazy!! cutting down on fluids makes no difference at all. One evening had nothing after 7pm, and still was up in the night. Read somewhere it could be connected to Sjogren's - irritable bladder or something!! what with that and hips and other joints hurting, might as well shoot myself (only joking honest!!!) hope your nights get easier x

The trouble with not sleeping is the more you worry about it, the more likely it is to keep you awake! There's no easy answer to it, sometimes the mind will not slow down.

I hope by now you've managed to get some good sleep.

Mary you have my sympathy.

Some nights I just can't go to sleep. My husband just goes to bed and then within two minutes he's gone. It gets me so mad. If we are talking he just say 'right I'm going to sleep now'...... and off he goes.

Last night I was so tired, kept nodding off to sleep in the lounge, but when I got to bed I just couldn't go to sleep.

About the HTR. I was told by a lady once that she had taken it and when she came off it the menopause just hit her really bad. Her doctor told her it just delays it while you are taking it so she advised me not to take it. At the moment I seem to be OK (touch wood), so hopefully I won't need it, I am 53 now so something must be happening.

Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Paula x x

Well, Mary - what can I say? How many times do I have to tell you that going to bed with your fur coat over the tassles and the pink waders is neither a good idea or a good look. I also feel that you overdo the exercise - no-one should attempt to break the world pole dancing record three times in one evening!

Seriously though - I went through all this and it's a b**** pain. I tried HRT and it sent me absolutely loopy - well, mre loopy than normal if you can imagine that?

Take care today and please please don't do too much. I hope you make loads of money for the MS society and that the rain holds off. Loking forward to hearing how it all went.

Much love to you all
